Parent Involvement
At our school, we believe that parents play a pivotal role in their child's education. Collaborating closely with the school forms a vital partnership for your child's growth. Children thrive when they engage with parents and school adults, fostering a sense of value for their ideas and an appreciation for diverse interactions. Listening to children helps them recognise the significance of their thoughts while learning the importance of connecting with a diverse community.
Parent education
We host Parent Education and Information Evenings in Term 1, 2, and 3 annually. These evening sessions, open to the public, offer insights into the Montessori philosophy, our educational approach and the principles shaping our school environment. These sessions aim to engage parents and community members in understanding our educational methods, fostering stronger involvement in their child’s learning journey both at home and at school. By familiarising with our values and practices, parents can actively participate, share, and better understand their child’s experiences within our school activities.
Parent reps and school committees
Serving as a Class Parent rep in your child’s classroom involves supporting fellow parents and facilitating additional classroom communication. Additionally, involvement in committees—such as Marketing, Fundraising, Finance, Special Projects, Infrastructure and Planning—enriches our school. Parents can engage in various capacities to contribute to the school's functioning. Reach out if you'd like to be more actively involved.
Assisting staff & classes
We encourage our parents to enrich our school community by sharing your special skills; assisting in your child’s classroom; providing support on excursions; contribute resources or provide vital input into fundraising activities. However, your most valuable contribution will be your enthusiasm for your child’s Montessori Education and a keenness to complement it at home. We encourage you to read, ask questions, and continue to learn more about the Montessori approach.

Parents are welcome to borrow books and videos from our Resource Centre. An extensive range of books covering Montessori philosophy, methodology and materials are available for parent use. To become a registered borrower see our Resource Centre Manager.
