Primary Years
Our primary school program supports and encourages students to become self-motivated learners. Becoming responsible and self-disciplined enables children to contribute more positively to their communities.
Our multi-aged classrooms provide an environment for students to learn as individuals and as members of a supportive class group. In educating the “whole child”, considerable emphasis is given to social development and in fostering a sense of community responsibility. Older children validate their learning as they share their knowledge and skills and become role models for younger children. Younger students have access to a group of willing mentors ready to help them when assistance is required. They are further inspired to learn as they see older children working on the next step in the progression of lessons.
The Primary program:
Teaches students at their own individual level through small group lessons and presentations
Establishes clear expectations regarding work and behaviour
Creates a learning environment that encourages and inspires students to be attracted to the wonders of the world
Provides a curriculum which is in-depth and integrated, designed to equip students with the necessary skills for them to explore the world. The areas of learning covered include English, Mathematics, The Arts, Health & PE, LOTE, Technology and the Montessori Cultural Curriculum which incorporates a broad range of sciences, history and geography.

CYCLE 1 PRIMARY
Reception / Year 1
Cycle 1 Primary classes provide a calm learning environment for children aged 5 and 6 years of age. An important part of the Cycle 1 classroom is for children to develop a work ethic with allowances for freedom of choice. Montessori educators believe that the aim of the Cycle 1 environment is to bring the world to the child through an integrated curriculum across the arts, music, physical education, science, geography, history and a focus on cultures around the world.

CYCLE 2
AGES: 6-9 Years 1, 2 & 3
The Cycle 2 classroom caters for students in Years 2 and 3, in a learning environment that encourages and inspires children to be attracted to and in awe of the wonder of the world. The multi-aged classroom caters for children aged six to nine years; children of this age commonly ask: “Why?” which directs the learning activities in the classroom. Students regularly work in small groups and the class is more community centered which reflects the development of this age group and their innate desire to interact more with their peers
PRIMARY PROGRAM
CYCLE 3
AGES: 9-12 Years 4, 5 & 6
Our Cycle 3 classes cover Years 4, 5 and 6 and cater for students aged 9-12 years of age. At this age, children commonly ask: “How?” and this directs the learning activities. The Cycle 3 curriculum is in-depth and integrated. There is a strong emphasis placed on expanding student competency in literacy, numeracy and advanced mathematics; as well as a love and appreciation of the arts, health and PE, English, music and Indonesian language and culture. This integrated approach with its foundations in global values encourages a cohesive community and promotes a sense of belonging for our Cycle 3 students.
