Senior School pathways

Future pathways

Graduates of the Middle School have several options for future pathways, including undertaking the senior years at specialist senior colleges or completing secondary schooling at a mainstream secondary school (public or independent).

Specialist senior colleges provide an adult learning environment that more closely matches the environment at a Montessori school and at university.

Students and their families are supported in choosing the most appropriate senior school on the basis of interests, strengths and aspirations.

Middle School graduates are well-prepared for entry into the senior secondary years, with strong skills in self-directed learning, self-motivation, and confident and respectful interaction with adults and peers. The skills developed by students at the Montessori Middle School are those that are highly valued by university educators: motivated and mature individuals, capable of rational and critical thought who take responsibility for their learning.
